Congratulations on your successful application for funding by NINDS for your clinical or translational research study of Parkinson’s disease (PD). The NINDS-supported PD Data and Organizing Center (PD-DOC) has the following resources to assist your work:
 
1.  An Operations Manual and electronic or printable Case Report Forms for items in the PD-DOC Core Data SetContact the PD-DOC Project Manager to obtain case report forms that cannot be posted publicly due to copyright restrictions.
 
2.  A process for training and certifying investigators in the use of Core Data Set instruments.
 
3.  Information regarding submission of blood samples to the NINDS Genetics Repository (housed at Coriell).
 
4.  Model information for research subjects regarding brain donation for postmortem examination in the event of death.
 
5.  Recommendations for formatting your study database for future sharing on the PD-DOC website, either as a Linked Database (for large, multicenter studies) or part of Databases for Sharing (for other, smaller studies).
 
6.  Instructions for posting electronic links to published papers or abstracts resulting from your study, either as supporting documentation for a Linked Database or as part of Databases for Sharing.

7.  Instructions for public sharing of your database via the PD-DOC website once your study is completed, either as a Linked Database or as part of Databases for Sharing

8. The lay description from your funded NIH application should now be submitted to the PD-DOC Project Manager (see Contacts).

9.  Once your study is completed a lay summary of the results should be submitted to the PD-DOC Project Manager (see Contacts).
