In various research studies, investigators must gather more extensive data than that contained in the PD-DOC Core Data Set (CDS).  In order to established uniformity and standardization, the PD-DOC has established a recommended Beyond Core Data Set (BCDS) which consists of variables that are not required but are recommended for investigators gathering data beyond the CDS.

  

At this time, most of the BCDS remains to be completed. However, the first component is a standardized brain MRI protocol.
