The Neuropathology data set (postmortem brain neuropathological findings) is one portion of the PD-DOC Core Data Set. It should be provided by an expert neuropathologist following postmortem brain examination.

The value of all clinical data collected in the PD-DOC Database is enhanced by the presence of postmortem brain neuropathologic information. The PD-DOC requests that each subject is informed about the importance of postmortem brain examination as well as the local procedures for brain donation in the event of death.
